ANNOUNCEMENT:
We have been receiving a large volume of calls and emails about 20 Hanoverians that need homes. WE DO NOT
HAVE ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THESE HORSES AND THEY ARE NOT LOCATED AT HHF. It seems that our contact information
was mistakenly placed onto an email about these horses and has been circulating around. We are very sorry, but we have
no information about them or even if it is a legitimate plea for help.
FOR THOSE SEEKING
ASSISTANCE WITH PLACING AN ANIMAL:
If you are looking for assistance with placing a horse, pony, or other animal and it is
not urgent to surrender the animal, Hideaway Hill Farm will make every effort to assist you. If the animal is within
a reasonable distance of the Lehigh Valley (where I live) or Harrisburg area (where I work), I will travel to its location
and take photos and a video and meet the animal personally. I will place the information on this site as well as other
placement sites, create flyers and post them at area tack shops and feed mills, and I will place your animal's information
in a booklet that I take to events with me for more exposure. All I ask for is $25.00 to cover office supplies and gas
money traveling around to do this. The animal will be listed with us for as long as it takes to place it.
I've been able to assist a number of people with placing horses this way, plus I have TONS of horse people contacts to
get the word out!
IF
YOU ARE INTERESTED IN GIVING A LOVING HOME TO A HORSE THROUGH THE COURTESY LISTING PAGE:
If you have come across this page and see an animal you are
interested in giving a home to, please contact Hideaway Hill Farm Horse and Animal Sanctuary directly. All the animals
posted on this page are usually offered FREE to suitable homes. There is no adoption fee associated with these animals
because they are not located here at Hideaway Hill Farm. Any agreement for placement is strictly between the owner of
the horse and you. We are acting as a mechanism of getting the word out about these horses. Some of them are on
our waiting list to be taken in here at the farm once space is available. There are many horses out there that are just
looking for new homes that did not come bad situations.
Two aged trail horses need homes! One is a 15.2 hand Appaloosa mare, blue
roan. The other is a 15.0 hand TB mare, chestnut in color. Both are approximately 20 years old and are suitable
for light riding. Owner would just like them to go to good homes. They do not have to go together. Please
call HHF for more information 484-225-8712 and we will put you in touch with the owners!
Tobin (pictured below)
Beautiful bay 14.2 hand Arabian gelding! This guy is really handsome! The owner needs
to downsize and find a home for this guy. She hasn't ridden him in the past two years due to personal health-related
reasons, so he needs some refresher time. He is a nice horse, but not suitable for a beginner. Please contact
Hideaway Hill Farm for more information and we will put you in contact with the owner. This horse in located in Collegeville,
PA.
Two Arabians in their mid twenties
that need homes. From the owner: "They are mother and son, typical headstrong Arabs that I broke and
should be able to be trained again. For more information if interested, please call the owner at 610-779-6189."
Pictures are forthcoming for these two horses! Check back.

SCOTT - 14 year-old TB Gelding
Scott is a very handsome, super sweet and friendly horse! He is 15.3 hands,
chestnut with three white socks...a flashy boy! He has no known vices and is currently barefoot. UTD vaccines.
He has very old suspensory injuries from his younger days on the track but the owner said he is sound, she just doesn't want
him jumped. He's been ridden the past two years by her daughter W/T/C, but her daughter wants to jump and she does not
think the old injury will allow him to do that. Cute mover and very personable! Owner said he is a loading challenge.
Has been trail ridden lightly in company. He is FREE to a suitable and good home. Please call HHF for more information!
Scott is located in Zionsville, PA.
Mia - 21 year-old Andalusian/Thoroughbred
Mia was quite the horse back in the day! She was competitive in many disciplines,
but due to due arthritic knees, she is only suitable for very light riding and leadline. Quiet, sweet girl. UTD
vaccines. Mia is stabled with Scott (above). Very attractive mare, approximately 15.2 hands, flea-bitten grey
in color. She is FREE to a good and suitable home where she will only be a companion horse or very light riding horse.
For more information, please call HHF and we will put you in touch with the owner. This horse is located in Zionsville,
PA.
DIVA - Black and White Paint Mare
THIS IS A NOTE FROM THE OWNER: "13
year old paint mare, 15.2H : Pleasant disposition, easy keeper. Takes a bit without a problem, but needs a very experienced
rider to deal with saddle/bucking issues. Would also be a good candidate as a companion horse for someone. Up to date on shots,
coggins, worming. Barefoot st present time. Good for farrier. Call 1-570-385-5344 or 1-570-691-6527 for more information.
To good home only."
THE TWO HORSES BELOW ARE IN NEED OF HOMES ASAP!
THE OWNER CONTACTED ME ABOUT HELPING HER PLACE THESE HORSES. SHE IS EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT AND
JUST LOST HER JOB AND CANNOT AFFORD THEIR UPKEEP. The mare is young, and is off the track. The other one is a
Spotted Saddle Horse, five year-old stallion, not yet broke to ride. PLEASE CALL HHF and we will put you in contact
with the owner. THESE HORSES ARE LOCATED IN WESTERN PA (Venetia).
Adison - 9 year-old TB mare, pictured below. Due to the location
of this horse (Gettysburg area) I was unable to meet her in person. She is currently on our waiting list. The
owners are looking for a home for her because she has repeatedly been injured out in the pasture and the daughter has been
unable to ride and show her as a result. Currently on stall rest from an injury, but is expected to heal. Once
I receive additional details about her injury, I will post that information. The following is a note from the owner:
Here are a few pictures of Adison (American Beauty). She is a beautiful mare,
dark
bay with one sock and a star with blaze and snip. She was foaled on May 9, 2000 and is the Great-granddaughter
to Seattle Slew. She has had some show experience in the pleasure division and has been schooled to jump up to 3'.
Adie is up to date on her vaccinations but I will contact Green Glen and ask for an updated list of shots and
dates given. I have the my bills from Green Glen for the treatment of her injury but I will ask them for more detailed
info
on her recuring injury. Since Adie's injury she has been on stall rest for the better part of three months.
Within the past month Caitlin has gotten on her and walked with her for no more than 10 minutes at a time maybe once a week.
Kate (the owner and our trainer) said one of her other riders was also starting to work with Adie but it would
be another few months for her to fully heal. Since her injury she has been without shoes but has been looked at by the
farrier
and we will be putting shoes back on soon. Adie does not like to be bothered when she is eating as she can be a bit
nasty. She does play hard in the field but I don't know that she kicks or bites (never seen or been
told of her doing this). She does not crib or chew that I've seen or been told. We are looking for
a good home for her.
Please contact Hideaway Hill Farm directly and we will put you in touch with the owners.
Call (610) 285-4576.
Lizzy (pictured below) is a 24 year-old Quarter Horse X mare,
15.1 hands, and is a true black. She is a very nice and quiet mare and has been ridden in recent years by a beginner/intermediate
rider. Lizzy's owner is seeking a new home for her because she is not getting along with one of her geldings.
She has been ridden mostly English and would make a nice first horse or extra family horse for someone. UTD on all vaccines.
Dental work due in the spring. Currently barefoot and is good for the farrier and the vet. This girl is
healthy and has some years left in her for the right family! FMI contact Hideaway Hill Farm (610) 285-4576 and
we will put you in touch with the owner. If you are looking for a nice first horse, don't let her age scare you
away! A quiet, well-mannered horse is a great confidence builder!
